Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has candidly discussed her past and present marital experiences, offering insight into her divorce from Adeniyi Johnson and the joy she now finds in her marriage to Kola Ajeyemi.
In an interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Toyin revealed that although she was married to Johnson for about two years, her family had serious reservations from the start. They had prayed and sought divine guidance, warning her that the marriage might not last, but she went ahead regardless. She admitted she ignored those warnings, which later proved significant.
Reflecting on her current relationship with Ajeyemi, Toyin described it as a deep, faith-driven union built on love, understanding, and mutual support. She shared that their bond grew through shared experiences and spiritual connection. Initially private, their relationship eventually led to an introduction, pregnancy, and marriage. Now, the couple shares two children—a boy and a girl.
Toyin expressed heartfelt appreciation for her husband, describing him as calm, prayerful, and incredibly supportive. She said,
“Trust me, I married one of the best… I will not say the best because there are other marriages I look up to like my godmother’s, but my husband is one of the best.”
