Horror fans, rejoice, Sidney Prescott is back. Paramount and Spyglass have officially released the trailer for Scream 7, and it’s already generating buzz across the horror community. Neve Campbell returns to her iconic role, stepping back into the chaos as a new Ghostface killer emerges. This installment promises to be one of the franchise’s most emotional and suspenseful chapters yet.
A New Killer Targets Sidney’s Family
Set in a quiet town where Sidney has tried to rebuild her life, the story takes a dark turn when her daughter, played by Isabel May, becomes the next target. As masked attackers close in, Sidney must confront the trauma of her past and fight to protect her family. The stakes are higher than ever, and the bloodshed is far from over.
Kevin Williamson Takes the Director’s Chair
In a major twist, Kevin Williamson, who wrote the original Scream in 1996, returns to the franchise—this time as director. He co-wrote the script with Guy Busick, while the story was developed by James Vanderbilt and Busick, the writing duo behind Scream VI. That film, set in New York, grossed over $166 million globally and helped reinvigorate the franchise.
Scream Favorites and Fresh Faces
Alongside Campbell, Courteney Cox reprises her role, continuing her legacy in the series. The cast also features a mix of returning and new faces, including:
Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons, and Mark Consuelos.
