Nollywood actor, Ik Ogbonna recently shared his thoughts on the struggles in modern marriages, particularly between African men and powerful, independent women via his Instagram Story, In the post, he highlighted that one of the most untalked-about issues in these marriages is the silent battle for identity and control.
According to Ik Ogbonna, the challenges in modern marriages between African men and powerful, independent women don’t typically begin with outright conflict. Instead, these issues often stem from a place of genuine admiration. He explains that initially, a man might be drawn to a woman’s strength, ambition, and independence, while she might be attracted to his confidence and leadership qualities. However, as time progresses, things begin to shift in ways many couples don’t anticipate.
