Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe recently opened up on “Real Talk with Kike.” sharing her heartfelt emotions and thoughts on single motherhood, praising them for their unwavering dedication and resilience. As a single mother herself, she spoke from experience stating the challenges that comes with being a single mother.
Mercy referred to single mothers as angels and heroes acknowledging their immense responsibility they shoulder in taking care of their children, she emphasized that single mothers play the role of both parent, providing financially, emotionally, morally and mentally for their children.
She also talked about how difficult it was for her describing it as draining on multiple levels.
As a single mother she shared her experience of being tough on her children because she wanted them to turn out well and she didn’t want them to make a mistake that could be attributed to her being a single mother.
The actress also shared that many woman don’t plan to become single mothers, but life circumstances lead to it.
