The Lost Bus is an upcoming American survival drama directed by Paul Greengrass, who co-wrote the screenplay with Brad Ingelsby, coming to Apple TV+ and select theaters in fall 2025.
Starring Matthew McConaughey, America Ferrara, Yul Vazquez, Ashlie Atkinson, Danny McCarthy, and Spencer Watson.
The film follows a headstrong bus driver and a dedicated school teacher trying to get 22 school children to safety through a rapidly blazing fire.
The Lost Bus is based on the 2021 book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire by Lizzie Johnson.
According to Paul Greengrass, “’ The Lost Bus’ is the story of quiet heroism — of people coming together in the face of the unthinkable. I’m honored to have been entrusted with this story.”
