Hollywood icon Kim Novak is set to receive the Venice Film Festival’s Golden Lion for lifetime achievement which takes place from August 27 to September 6, 2025.
She is best known for her iconic roles in films like Vertigo,Picnic and bell book and candle.
With a career spanning decades, she has captivated audiences with her timeless beauty, talent and versatility, leaving an incredible mark on cinematic history.
The Venice Film Festival will also feature the world premiere of “Kim Novak’s Vertigo,” a documentary by Alexandre Philippe, created in collaboration with the actress. Upon learning of her Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement, Novak expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying:
I’m overwhelmed with emotion to receive this prestigious honor from the Venice Film Festival. It’s a dream come true to be recognized for my life’s work, and I look forward to cherishing every moment in Venice.
