Acclaimed Nigerian filmmaker Kemi Adetiba has confirmed that her highly anticipated thriller, To Kill a Monkey, will premiere exclusively on Netflix on June 26, 2025. The film has officially wrapped production and is now in final stages of release preparation.
In a heartfelt announcement shared on her Instagram page, Kemi wrote:
“Finally… This is a personal one for me—even better as a storyteller and director. TKAM is a gift to everyone that has ever supported me and waited for me to come back. It’s a thank you to every cast member, crew member, vendor, supporter, etc. that believed in the vision and gave time, talent, and resources to make sure this project reached fruition. It is also a promise to actors and crew that I will work with in the future… the sweat you give me will never be in vain. See you all tomorrow.”
To Kill a Monkey marks Kemi’s return to the screen after previous successes like King of Boys and The Wedding Party.
