Nigerian actor and content creator Kamo State (Akinyoola Ayoola) has publicly celebrated actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele for her extraordinary support during a critical moment in his family’s life — the birth of his child.
In an emotional Instagram post, Kamo expressed deep gratitude to Akindele, revealing that although he informed her late about his wife Esther’s pregnancy, she responded with overwhelming generosity. Akindele went as far as arranging for the birth to potentially take place in the U.S. and secured one of Lagos’ top doctors to handle the delivery, also covering all medical expenses.
Her kindness didn’t stop there. She extended her personal resources — including her driver and security — to the couple, frequently checked on Esther when Kamo was unavailable, and personally financed the child’s naming ceremony, covering everything from catering to outfits.
Kamo called her “an angel in human form” and “my dearest godmother,” praising her selflessness and love. In response, Akindele humbly noted, “If I don’t do it, God will send another person to do it.”
This act of kindness has touched many, reinforcing Funke Akindele’s reputation not only as a powerhouse in Nollywood but also as a deeply compassionate figure admired for her humility and generosity.
