HBO Max and Viu Unite: New Bundle Service Coming to Southeast Asia

HBO Max and Viu are set to shake up the Southeast Asian streaming landscape with a new bundle deal, offering subscribers a vast library of content from both services. The partnership brings together HBO’s premium Hollywood content, including hits like Game of Thrones, The Last of Us, and Friends, with Viu’s popular Asian dramas and reality shows, such as Running Man and Crash Landing on You.

According to James Gibbons, President of Asia Pacific at Warner Bros. Discovery, “Following the proven consumer and business benefits of HBO Max bundles in other parts of the world, this new streaming offering will provide strong entertainment value for consumers across Southeast Asia, and help drive subscriber growth and stronger retention.”

The bundle is expected to launch in Q4 across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, offering subscribers a unique entertainment experience. With this partnership, HBO Max and Viu are poised to revolutionise the Southeast Asian streaming market, providing fans with unparalleled access to a vast array of content.
