On July 8, 2025, the Lagos office of popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo was engulfed in flames in what her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, believes was a deliberate act of arson.
Priscilla, who recently tied the knot with Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, has linked the incident to threats received before the wedding. According to her, a handwritten letter was mysteriously delivered to the office on May 24, 2025, by a group identifying themselves as the “Aggrieved Group.” The note contained a chilling warning: her wedding would be sabotaged.
Despite the threats, the wedding proceeded without incident—until the fire, which Priscilla claims was the group’s “Plan B,” struck weeks later.
Fortunately, no lives were lost in the blaze. In response, the family is working closely with law enforcement and has begun reviewing CCTV footage from the area. Security has since been tightened at both their office and residence as investigations continue.
