Florence Okonkwo, celebrated as the Queen of the Red Carpet, received the Entertainment Personality of the Year Award from the Disabled International Foundation (DIF) UK and Sierra Leone. The recognition came during the foundation’s grand 25th anniversary silver jubilee in London.
The milestone celebration highlighted DIF’s 25 years of service in education, healthcare, and food security. Okonkwo, who attended as a special guest of honour, pledged her continued support for the foundation and other groups driving positive change.
Sharing her gratitude, Okonkwo expressed her joy at the honour. “It is truly inspiring to be part of this organization. I am grateful to join this award night that celebrates purpose, recognition, and empowerment. Here’s to many more years of progress and growth,” she said.

The silver jubilee also welcomed a remarkable lineup of dignitaries and honourees. Attendees included DIF founder Dr. Imambay Kamara, Amb. Yvette Philbert, Dr. Dominic Mbang, Lord Ducan McNair, Princess Toyin Onagoruwa, Chief Kate Anolue, and Princess Moradeun Adedoyin-Solarin. Others present were Mohammed Sesay (Billy), Dr. Kalpana Kundun, Mrs. Isata Sesay Jallon, and Agnes Pratt, known as the Queen of Social Media, alongside her husband Naa Tsotsoo Soyoo.
