Coming Soon

Netflix has released a first look at Cillian Murphy in ‘Steve’, an adaptation of Max Porter’s bestselling novella ‘Shy’.

The Oscar-winning actor stars as a head teacher in the movie, directed by Tim Mielants. In the newly released image, Murphy was seen holding a tennis ball while leaning against a blackboard.

Set to premiere in October, the movie follows a day in the lives of Steve and his students at a reform school, where hope seems lost in a world that’s given up on them.

According to the plot synopsis, “As Steve fights to protect the school’s integrity and impending closure, we witness him grappling with his mental health. In parallel to Steve’s struggles, we meet Shy (Jay Lycurgo), a troubled teen caught between his past and what lies ahead as he tries to reconcile his inner fragility with his impulse for self-destruction and violence.”

Steve” hits UK theaters and Netflix on October 3.
