Coming Soon

Dead Tide (2025) is an upcoming Nollywood action-thriller directed by Soji Ogunnaike, with a screenplay by Chiji Ononiwu and story contributions from Jide Ayinde. The film is set for nationwide cinema release in Nigeria on August 1, 2025.

The story follows Itoro, played by Ikechukwu Onunaku, a man grieving the death of his sister while trying to lead a quiet life running a beach bar in Badagry, Lagos. His peace is shattered when Sade (Eniola Ajao) arrives with damning footage showing the president’s son, Dare (Ibrahim Suleiman), committing a murder. Forced into hiding and on the run, Itoro and Sade must work together to avoid capture and fight for justice. The film blends political tension, emotional drama, and coastal visuals in a high-stakes story.

The cast also includes William Benson as Gambo, with strong supporting roles from Lateef Adedimeji, Tope Olowoniyan, Ademola Amoo, and others. Production began in December 2024, filmed on location in Badagry. It’s produced by POV Films and Rushing Tap, with distribution handled by Nile Entertainment.

With suspenseful storytelling, layered performances, and a vivid Lagos setting, Dead Tide promises to be a standout title in Nollywood’s 2025 lineup—especially for fans of emotional, action-packed thrillers grounded in Nigerian realities.
