Cast Confirmed for Joshua Coates’ Faith-Based Film ‘Divine Direction’

Joshua Coates’ faith-based film Divine Direction has completed filming in Philadelphia, PA. The movie tells the story of a father and Pastor who grapple with his faith as his son battles a rare form of kidney cancer.

This film is based on the true-life story of Charles Moorer, drawing inspiration from his books Standing on the World of Adonai and Giving Up Is Not an Option.

Coates, who adapted, directed, and produced the film, is President and CEO of 20/20 Visions Entertainment Group in West Hollywood. His recent feature, Ageless Love, was released in 2022. Divine Direction is a production of 20/20 Visions Entertainment Group in association with 4C Music Productions, with Charles Moorer as executive producer and Coates and Pete Postiglione as producers. The film will be released by One Culture, a multinational TV and film distribution company based in Atlanta, GA.

Dorian Gregory takes on the dual lead roles of Charles Moorer and his twin brother Quinton Moorer. Gregory, with over 70 film and TV credits, is best known for playing Darryl Morris in the hit TV series Charmed (1998-2005). The film features a cast including Tamala Jones as Cora Moorer, Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts as Dr. Patrick Batra, Geoffrey Owens as Charles Moorer Sr., Torrei Hart as Crystal Moorer, Judae’a as Chelsea Moorer, Golden Globe and Grammy-winning gospel singer Regina Belle as Aunt Gertrude, comedian Marcus D. Wiley as Pastor Reggie Fletcher, and newcomer Shamere Dunswell as Chad Moorer.
