Amazon Prime Video has just released the premiere date and first look photos for its highly anticipated spy-thriller series, “Butterfly.” Based on the 2015 graphic novel of the same name by Arash Amel and Marguerite Bennett, this six-episode series promises to deliver complex family dynamics, treacherous espionage, and plenty of twists and turns.

Daniel Dae Kim, known for his roles in “Lost,” “Hawaii Five-O,” and “The Good Doctor,” takes on the lead role of David Jung, a former U.S. intelligence operative living in South Korea. Jung’s life is turned upside down when he’s pursued by Rebecca (Reina Hardesty), a deadly and sociopathic young agent assigned to kill him. The cast also includes Piper Perabo, Louis Landau, Kim Ji-hoon, Park Hae-soo, Kim Tae-hee, Charles Parnell, Sean Dulake, and Nayoon Kim, with guest appearances by Sung Dong-il and Lee Il-hwa.
