”A Minecraft Movie” is an upcoming American fantasy adventure comedy film based on the popular video game Minecraft. Directed by Jared Hess, the film stars Jack Black as Steve and Jason Momoa as Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison.
The storyline follows four misfits who are unexpectedly transported into the game’s cubic universe, known as the Overworld, where they must navigate its challenges to find their way back home.
The cast also includes Danielle Brooks as Dawn, Emma Myers as Natalie, and Sebastian Hansen as Henry. Jennifer Coolidge portrays Vice Principal Marlene, with additional roles played by Matt Berry, Kate McKinnon, and Jemaine Clement.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States on April 4, 2025.
