Viewer Criticizes Bambam’s Recent Movie Performances, Cites Exaggerated Speech Mannerisms

A Nigerian movie enthusiast, Joy Charles Ekong, has expressed her disappointment in Bambam’s recent film appearances, stating that she may stop watching movies that feature the actress. According to her, Bambam’s acting no longer meets her expectations, and she feels disconnected from the roles the actress portrays.

Sharing her views on social media, Joy said:

“I was one of those who initially commended Bambam for her feminine and eloquent way of speaking, especially in Omoni Oboli’s Love in Every Word. However, lately, I feel she’s been overdoing it. Her tendency to drag out words makes her scenes feel monotonous and, honestly, a bit exhausting to watch. Of course, this is my personal opinion — it might not be the same for everyone.”

She further added:

“I couldn’t even finish this movie because every time she appeared, her intonation and speech mannerisms became a major distraction for me. Bambam, we appreciated your unique speech style when it felt natural, but now it seems exaggerated. If this continues, I worry that some viewers like myself may start skipping movies you’re in — not because of your talent, but because of how your delivery affects the experience.”
Joy’s comments have sparked a conversation about performance consistency and how an actor’s unique style can either charm or alienate audiences over time.
