Katie Holmes is set to write, direct, and star in “Happy Hours”, a new feature film trilogy. In this project, she’ll be reuniting with her “Dawson’s Creek” co-star Joshua Jackson.
“Happy Hours” tells the story of two people played by Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes navigating the complexities of their relationship. Amidst the challenges of their careers, family responsibilities, and life’s obstacles, they pursue love. This character-driven film focuses on the emotional journey of two young lovers who reconnect as adults, tied together by shared joys, losses, and hopes.
The cast of “Happy Hours” alongside Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson includes Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., Nathan Darrow, Johnna Dias-Watson, and Jack Martin. Filming for the first movie begins this summer in New York City. Production on the second and third parts of the trilogy is set to follow soon after.
