Freaky Tales (2025) is a vibrant, stylized action-comedy anthology directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, set in 1987 Oakland, California. It weaves together four interconnected stories rich with surreal elements and a nostalgic tribute to ‘80s pop culture—punk rock, hip-hop, and exploitation cinema—with a supernatural twist involving a mysterious green energy.

Teen punks Lucid (Jack Champion) and Tina (Ji-young Yoo) defend their beloved punk club from a neo-Nazi gang in a supernatural showdown.

Rap duo Danger Zone — Entice (Normani) and Barbie (Dominique Thorne) — confront misogyny in the hip-hop scene through an electrifying rap battle.

Clint (Pedro Pascal), a weary debt collector, faces his past and a corrupt cop (Ben Mendelsohn) while seeking redemption.

NBA star Sleepy Floyd (Jay Ellis) becomes a martial arts avenger after a family attack, blending sports and supernatural justice.
