Popular Yoruba actress Jaiye Kuti speak out on the needs of staying youthful and constantly rebranding to stay relevant in the entertainment industry.
During a recent chat with The Nation, the nollywood actress emphasizes that appearance and personality are key assets in entertainment, making aging a common concern for many in the industry.
“In the entertainment industry, you don’t want to get old because what you sell is your face and your personality. So you don’t want to get old,” she said.
Kuti emphasizes that nurturing one’s talent is just as important as maintaining looks in the entertainment industry.
“And then whatever talent that you are blessed with, let me say God-given gift, because some people are blessed with a natural gift when it comes to craft or art, you want to keep it so that you start to renew it. The age is there but we are just trying a lot of rebranding,” she added.
