Disney has launched the first trailer for zootopia 2, the long anticipated sequel to the 2016 Academy Award Winning film Zootopia.
The teaser showcases stunning animation, featuring Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman ) as they tackle a new case involving Gary De’Snake (Ke Huy Quan) arrives in zootopia and turn the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, the duo must go undercover to unexpected places around the city.
The film which opens in theaters on November 26 is directed by the returning Jared Bush and Bryron Howard.
Bush expressed, “We are beyond excited to welcome everyone back to the outrageous, expansive animal metropolis of Zootopia, and take audiences on a hilarious, wild ride into parts of the city we’ve never visited before.” He serves as Disney Animation’s Chief Creative Officer.
“Whether it’s the marshes of semi-aquatic mammals, the vast desert dunes or even greater mysteries beyond, our heroes, Judy and Nick, will meet a lot of new friends, and discover even more about the world.”
Zootopia 2 is produced by Yvett Merino and introduces new characters, including Nibbles the beaver (voiced by Fortune Feimster) and Dr. Fuzzby, a quokka therapist (Quinta Brunson),adding more depth to the story.
