Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has mourned the heartbreaking loss of two young cinematographers, Johnson Onoriode Ododife and Chigo Gozman, who tragically lost their lives in a car accident along Port Harcourt Road.
Reports indicate that the pair were returning from a fellow filmmaker’s wedding when the fatal crash occurred. Ododife served as the Delta State chairman of the Cinematographers Society of Nigeria (CSN), while Gozman was both a content creator and cinematographer.
In a tribute shared on his Instagram page, Yul Edochie posted a solemn candlelight image and expressed his sorrow over the rising number of sudden deaths in Nollywood. He described the news as deeply painful and offered prayers for strength and comfort to the grieving families.
This tragic incident follows a string of recent losses in the Nigerian film industry, including the deaths of veteran actress Nkechi Nweje and renowned actor-scholar Columbus Irisoanga, casting a somber shadow over Nollywood.
