Inspired by true events, director and written by Christian Swegal, Sovereign follows a father and son who adopt the anti-government beliefs of the Sovereign Citizen movement. Their ideological road trip across the U.S. escalates into a violent confrontation with law enforcement, led by a determined police chief. What begins as defiance spirals into tragedy, exploring themes of radicalization, fractured relationships, and the high cost of extremism.
