Nigerian music legend 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) recently introduced his fiancée, Natasha Osawaru, to his hometown, but the event was marked by the noticeable absence of his parents and siblings. This has sparked speculation about tensions within his family regarding his new relationship.
On February 13, 2025, 2Baba proposed to Natasha Osawaru, a 30-year-old lawmaker and Deputy Majority Leader in the Edo State House of Assembly, shortly after announcing his separation from his wife of over a decade, Annie Idibia.
The situation became more complicated when 2Baba’s mother, Rose Idibia, publicly opposed the engagement. In a viral video, she expressed concerns, pleading with Natasha to “free” her son and suggesting that certain spiritual influences were affecting his decision.
