Veteran Nigerian filmmaker and founder of Wale Adenuga Productions, Wale Adenuga, has responded to the ongoing controversy surrounding the “Papa Ajasco” trademark, describing the allegations as false, misleading, and inaccurate.

Background of the Controversy:
The dispute gained public attention after actor Abiodun Ayoyinka, popularly known for his role as Papa Ajasco, claimed in an interview that he has faced financial challenges and suggested that trademark restrictions linked to the character have limited his opportunities.

Wale Adenuga’s Response:
In his reaction, Wale Adenuga firmly denied the claims, stating that the circulating narrative is misinformation.

He further pointed out that Abiodun Ayoyinka has had a long-standing career, including previous work outside acting, and questioned the narrative portraying him as financially stranded.
