Sometimes, destiny shows up when you least expect it. For Nigerian actor, production manager, and singer Oluwatobiloba Abraham, better known as Tee Famous, that moment came on a movie set when a last-minute casting change turned into a life-changing opportunity.
From Behind the Scenes to Centre Stage
Speaking on a recent podcast hosted by actress Biola Adebayo, Tee Famous shared how his journey into music began unexpectedly. He was originally working behind the scenes on a film that included a musical performance. The role was meant for actor-singer Gabriel Afolayan, but when Afolayan couldn’t make it to the shoot, the team scrambled for a replacement.
“I was just supposed to play his friend,” Tee Famous recalled. “Then they suggested Don Yayo, but things didn’t work out at the studio. That’s when they turned to me.”
A Nervous Start, A Surprising Response
Initially hesitant, Tee Famous admitted he was nervous about stepping into the spotlight. He feared criticism and doubted his ability to pull off the performance. But with encouragement from the crew, he gave it a shot and the results were unexpected.
“I didn’t want to do it at first,” he said. “I thought people would mock me. But instead, I got a lot of positive reviews. That changed everything.”
